About Andrew Flintoff
Andrew Flintoff made his test cricket debut in 1998 against South Africa. While it was 4 years until he scored his maiden test century, since that time he has gone on to break records for England and win numerous honours as the captain of the English cricket team.
He currently holds the record for the most sixes scored for England, and in 2004 Wisden, the widely respected authority on all things cricket, named him amongst their "Cricketers of the Year". Two years later he was again honoured by Wisden, this time as the "Leading Cricketer in the World".
After the 2005 Ashes victory he was crowned Sports Personality of the Year for 2005 by the BBC and awarded the MBE for his part in the successful side.
