About Mick Doohan
Mick Doohan is among elite company thanks to his achievements in motor cycle racing. Born in Brisbane in 1965, Doohan has a racing record that reads like a dream.
From his 137 500cc Grand Prix starts, he has started on Pole Position 58 times. He has 54 victories, and has amazingly only missed being on the podium 42 times, standing on the platform a stunning 95 times. He reigned as World Champion of the 500cc competition for 5 years straight, from 1994 to 1998.
In 2006, Doohan married to his long term partner Selina Sines, with whom he has two children, Allexis and Jack.
