About Alisa Camplin
Alisa Camplin is Australia's most famous aerial skier. She was born on November 10, 1974 in Melbourne, Victoria. An ex-gymnast, standing at 157cm tall, as a teenager, Alisa was an accomplished sailor, winning two Australian National Titles in the Hobie Cat catamaran class.
Her inspiration for skiing comes from three-time Olympian Kirstie Marshall, and in her professional skiing career, she won the gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics and the bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics, making her the first Australian to win medals at consecutive Winter Olympics.
She retired from professional skiing in July 2006. Since retirement from competition she in involved with IBM as a motivational speaker. She also has promotional & charitable pursuits. She was a judge on the Australian TV show Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice.
