About Kostya Tszyu
Kostya Tszyu was born in Russia in 1969 but fled to Australia with his girlfriend after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1992, where they later married.
His first notable professional performance was in the Moscow World Championship of 1989, where he placed third. In 1991 Tszyu came to Australia for amateur World Championships. He won his first Professional World Championship in 1995 in Cuba.
